We’ve updated our pricing to better reflect the real lifecycle of IoT projects: fast PoCs → pilots → production scaling → enterprise requirements for SLA, isolation, and predictable TCO. At the core of these changes are modularity, flexible add-ons and top-ups, and transparent pricing calculators that help you assemble the right configuration for your use case.
Below are the key updates you should know.
Add-ons: Edge Computing and Trendz Analytics are now platform modules
With ThingsBoard 4.3, Edge Computing and Trendz Analytics are now available as add-ons, enabled directly from your account with minimal setup. This keeps your architecture lean — you can unlock additional capabilities exactly when your use case demands it.
These add-ons are available across ThingsBoard Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Self-managed Pay-as-you-go, and Perpetual.

ThingsBoard Public Cloud: brand-new plans, add-ons, and flexible top-ups
Public Cloud now has a fully new plan lineup. A new Free plan lets you test ThingsBoard end-to-end in real workflows, validate your use case, and evaluate advanced capabilities before moving to the plan that fits production needs.
We’ve smoothed the path from PoC to production with smaller plan steps — so you can start small, scale confidently.

Top-ups are available from Pilot and above, so if you hit a limit you can extend specific capacities without changing your plan. On the Business plan, you can also purchase additional devices as you scale.

White Labeling is included from Pilot and above, helping you brand the platform as your own for customers and partners.
Legacy plans are still supported, so you can keep using your current subscription. However, the new top-up and add-on capabilities are available on the new plans.
Self-managed ThingsBoard: Pay-as-you-go & Perpetual license
Self-managed Pay-as-you-go now comes with a new subscription lineup and is more configurable. Use optional add-ons and scale capacity by increasing Production Instances (HA and reliability) and Development Instances (dev/test/CI/CD) — all from the subscription calculator. The Maker plan includes Trendz Analytics and Edge Computing for testing, while White Labeling is included starting from Pilot. On the Business plan, you can also purchase additional devices.

The Perpetual license becomes the solution for enterprises, heavy-load and security-first/offline use cases.
Your current Perpetual licenses and License subscriptions remain valid as long as you need. Your existing price and limits, unless you want to expand, will remain intact for your existing licenses.
Meet TBMQ: TBMQ Professional Edition is now available
TBMQ Professional Edition (PE) is an enterprise-ready MQTT broker built for performance, governance, and predictable scaling — without opaque licensing. Pricing is consumption-based: pay for sessions, throughput, and instances, with optional add-ons like White Labeling and Priority Help Desk.
You can also choose Perpetual or Private Cloud, depending on how you want to run TBMQ.
