Who it’s for

Process engineers, plant operators, and maintenance technicians ask “how much of the pressure range is being used right now and which operating band does it fall in?” They need a bar that shows position within the operating range at a glance.

What it does

A device reporting pressure = 8 bar renders a horizontal bar filled to 32% of the 0–25 bar range, with the fill color indicating operating level: blue for Low (below 5 bar), green for Normal (5–10 bar), orange for Elevated (10–15 bar), and red for High (above 15 bar).

The widget ships with a simulated function datasource key labeled Pressure, so it draws random values until you point the datasource at a device and rename the key.

To point it at your own device: open the dashboard in edit mode, open the widget’s Datasources, pick the entity or entity alias, and replace the function key with the key your device reports.

How to customize

• To change the operating thresholds — open the widget settings and adjust the band boundaries.
• To change the bar colors — edit the color for each operating band in the widget settings.
• To change the bar range — adjust the minimum and maximum values in the widget settings to match your system’s pressure range.

Tips

• Stack multiple pressure bars vertically to compare pressures across several monitoring points on a single dashboard — the bar format is compact enough to fit 6–8 sensors in a column without scrolling.
• A bar approaching the red zone (15 bar) on a line rated for 20 bar is a predictive signal — set an alarm on this condition to alert operators before the relief valve activates.
• Pair with a flow rate progress bar on the same row for a side-by-side hydraulic state view of each pipeline segment.
