Who it’s for

Agronomists, precision farmers, and vineyard managers ask “where does the current leaf wetness sit within the 0–100% scale?” They want a bar that fills toward saturation so they can see at a glance how close the canopy is to the Wet or Saturated threshold.

What it does

A sensor reading 68% fills the bar to 68% and colors it orange — Wet. A reading of 5% fills only 5% in blue — Dry. A reading of 95% fills nearly the full bar in red — Saturated.

  • Horizontal progress bar that fills proportionally between 0% and 100%
  • Color-coded fill that changes across four wetness bands from Dry to Saturated
  • Current value label shown alongside the bar
  • Shows one sensor’s data; it does not chart trends or show a delta

How to set up

Data keys

KeyRoleTypeDescription
leafBar valueTimeseriesLeaf wetness index in %; change the key name to match your device’s telemetry key

The widget ships with a simulated function datasource key labeled humidity, so it draws random values until you point the datasource at a device and rename the key.

To point it at your own device: open the dashboard in edit mode, open the widget’s Datasources, pick the entity or entity alias, and replace the function key with the key your device reports.

If the key has never reported, the bar renders empty.

Value ranges

Range (%)LevelColor
0–10DryBlue
10–50ModerateOrange
50–90WetOrange
90+SaturatedRed

How to customize

  • To use your own wetness thresholds — edit the color ranges; adjust the four default bands to match your crop’s spray thresholds.
  • To hide the value label — turn off Show value in the widget settings.
  • To hide the entity name subtitle or the timestamp — turn off Show subtitle or Show date.

Tips

  • The scale is fixed at 0–100% because leaf wetness sensors output a dimensionless index already normalized to that range. Unlike illuminance or flooding level, there is no need to adjust Tick max for different sensor types.
  • Use this bar when position-within-range matters more than trend. Add the leaf wetness chart card if you also need to see how wetness has changed over time.
