Widgets
Widgets is a catalog of pre-configured dashboard components in ThingsBoard’s IoT Hub, designed for common IoT use cases across different industries. Each widget installs directly into your Widgets library — click Install and the widget becomes immediately available to add to any dashboard.
Installing a Widget
Section titled “Installing a Widget”To open the catalog, click IoT Hub in the ThingsBoard left sidebar and select Widgets.
- Browse the catalog and find the widget you want.
- Click the widget card to open its detail panel and review the description, datasource requirements, and available settings before installing.
- Click Install — either directly on the card or from inside the detail panel.
- Confirm in the dialog. The widget is added to your Widgets library automatically.
- When installation completes, click Open Widget to navigate directly to the widget in Resources → Widgets library, or close and continue browsing.
Removing a Widget
Section titled “Removing a Widget”Click the Installed Items button at the top of the Widgets page to open the list of installed widgets. Click the Remove icon next to the widget you want to remove and confirm the action.
Checking for Updates
Section titled “Checking for Updates”Click the Installed Items button at the top of the Widgets page, then click Check for updates in the top-right corner. ThingsBoard compares all installed widgets against the latest versions and adds an Updates column showing either Up to date or an available version to install.
