ThingsBoard Edge Ubuntu 3.3.x Upgrade Instructions

Upgrading Edge to 3.3.4.1

Backup before upgrading

Stop the ThingsBoard Edge service to prevent data writes during the upgrade:

sudo systemctl stop tb-edge

Create the backup:

sudo -Hiu postgres pg_dump tb_edge > tb_edge.sql.bak

Verify the backup was created successfully:

ls -lh tb_edge.sql.bak

Download the Edge package

wget https://github.com/thingsboard/thingsboard-edge/releases/download/v3.3.4.1/tb-edge-3.3.4.1.deb

Upgrade the package

Stop the service if it is still running:

sudo service tb-edge stop

sudo dpkg -i tb-edge-3.3.4.1.deb

Run the upgrade script to migrate your data and configurations:

sudo /usr/share/tb-edge/bin/install/upgrade.sh --fromVersion=3.3.4

Start the service

sudo service tb-edge start
