Multi-Tenancy & Hierarchy

Defines who owns what and how users access the system.

• System: Global entity managing platform settings and tenants. Controls system-wide resources without owning specific IoT entities.
• Tenant: Top-level organizational entity representing company or business unit. Owns and manages scoped resources: Devices, Assets, and Dashboards.
• Customer: Logical sub-organization or separate entity managed by a Tenant. Used to isolate resources for secure data sharing, like client organizations, regional branches, or internal departments.
• Users: Authenticated account with permissions. Can belong to either a Tenant or a Customer.
